James “Jake” Walter Moore of Cox City, Oklahoma passed away a the age of 78 on Monday, 09 April 2012 at the Lindsay Manor Nursing Home in Lindsay, OK.
Jake was born on 06 February 1934 to Ebba Jason and Elsie Eva (Beam) Moore in Broken Bow, OK.
Jake worked as a mechanic and was a retired pipeliner. He enjoyed farming, fishing, reading and chasing cows.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents, Ebba Jason and Elsie Eva Moore. Five sisters: Carol, Claudine, Christine, Freeda, and Lorene and five brothers: Buddy, Clyde, Gary, Guy and Ralph.
He is survived by his children: James Moore and wife Kendy of Oregon, Jason Moore and wife Robin of Nevada City, CA, Jeff Moore of Nevada City, CA, Cliff Moore and wife Nancy of Cox City, OK and Katrina Moore of Cox City, OK. His brothers: Wesley Moore and wife Jenetta of Wichita Falls, TX, Mike Moore and wife Barbara of Cox City, OK and Gerald Moore of Oregon along with one sister, Aline of Denton, Texas. Jake also leaves behind his grandchildren: Andrew, Chanze, Daniel, James, Jeremy, Nikole, Phillip, Taylon and Tyler Moore.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, 11 April 2012 at the Erin Spring Baptist Church in Erin Springs, OK with Pator Clay Hicks officiating. Interment was at Rosedale Cemetery in Byars, OK. Services were under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, OK.
