Larry McCall, age 70 of Maud, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Larry Gene McCall was born February 17, 1949 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, the older of two sons born to Doug and Ophelia McCall. Larry was raised in Del City, and attended school there, graduating with the Eagle’s Class of 1967. By chance, and through some friends, Larry met a young lady at the local Sonic one night. Her name was Janice Overbey, and they were the perfect match. On May 12, 1969, Larry and Janice were married in Okla. City. They first made their home in Del City, but Larry’s heart was in the country. In 1972, they purchased a farm near Maud, and have called it home ever since. Larry worked as a Printer for several different printing companies throughout the years. But he was most happy back home on the farm, building fence, working his cattle and just enjoying his farm. He enjoyed hunting and on occasion, boating and fishing, and he was an avid gun collector. Larry was a country boy through and through. He was a loving husband and a best friend to Janice, and they shared more than 50 wonderful years together. He cherished his extended family and his friends, and especially enjoyed being a big brother to Kim and John. Larry will be dearly missed!
