Russell joined the Oklahoma National Guard 45th Division when he was 17 years old and served in Korea and the Reserves.

Russell and Loretta Berlene Garrison of Blanchard, OK were united in marriage on 18 Jul 1953. They were married for 61 years and made their home in Norman, OK for 51 years where they raised their four children before they moved to Tecumseh.

Russell was employed at Tinker Air Force Base for 34 years before his retirement in 1987. He also farmed and raised cattle and enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He sang in his church with his family and loved gospel music. Russell was a generous and loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a compassionate heart and helped many who were less fortunate than himself. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Cleveland Lee.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Loretta Berlene. His three daughters, Sheryl LaRue and Debra Lee of Tecumseh, OK and Ruth Eaton and husband Bret of McCloud, OK and a son, Russell Bryan Lee and wife Nikki of Norman, OK. A brother, Gaylon Arthur Lee of Spring Branch, TX., and a sister Lillie Mae Cochnauer of Norman, OK. He has 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, 13 Aug 2014 at Discover Church in Noble, OK. Services are directed by McMahans Funeral Home.

Loretta graduated Norman High School in 1953 and married Russell Lee that same year. They made their home in Norman, OK before moving to Tecumseh, OK.

Loretta departed this life on 09 Mar 2017 at the Quality Hospice Care when she was 82 years old.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Lee and wife Nikki, and daughters Ruth Eaton and husband Brett along with Debra Lee and Sheryl Lee. Her sister, Norma Pauley and eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service was arranged and directed by McMahans Funeral Home.
