Funeral services for Wanda Gayle Farmer, 64, Rosedale, were held March 4, 2008 at the Rosedale Baptist Church with the Rev. Kent Wooster officiating. Interment was under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Ms. Farmer died at Integris Baptist Medical Center in OKC.
The only child of J.R. Farmer and Savana (Burditt) Farmer, she was raised and lived her entire life in the Rosedale community of McClain Co.
A 1963 graduate of Wayne High School, she attended Blackwood Business College where she studied nursing and volunteered as a nurse's aide at Sunset Estates Nursing Home, Purcell.
She was a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church and the Purcell Eastern Star for 37 years, serving as Past Worthy Matron in 1983.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Barney and Eula Farmer, Rosedale and John and Josie Burditt, Lexington, she is survived by her mother, Savana Farmer, Rosedale; her father, Jack Farmer and his wife, Pam, Choudrant, La.; 2 stepbrothers, Michael Mayzel and Steve Richardson, and 1 stepsister, Sissy Bennett, all of Ruston, La.
Pallbearers were Ed Boles, Brent Boles, Bill Johns, Jack Jones, Dale Elkins and Nick Williamson.
