Cleo Jane was born to William Robert and Cleo Patra Boles.

Cleo attended Rosedale schools. While in high school she was active in basketball and softball. She graduated from Rosedale High School in May 1950.

E.J. "“Buddy” Moore and Cleo were married on 24 Nov 1950 in Olathe, KS. They lived in the Purcell, Rosedale and Wayne areas where Buddy worked on pipelines. They had five children.

Cleo married Robert Avery on 05 Apr 1978 in Miami, OK. Cleo and Robert lived in Wayne, OK until Robert took a job with the Grand River Dam Authority at Salina.

Robert and Cleo moved to Ada, OK in 2007 to be near family/
