Albert VanWinkle died suddenly Sunday morning at 6:30 a.m. of paralisis at the home of his son, Willie VanWinkle, 4 miles east of town.

Deceased was born January 5, 1830 in Perry county, Illinois, and lived in several different states, coming to Oklahoma 17 years ago. He served all during the civil war as a union soldier. Was married three times, his third wife and a daughter, Mrs. E.D. Larmon, by his second marriage, and a son William, by his last wife survive him. He had been an earnest and consistent member of the Free Will Baptist church many years.
