Area resident Emma Louise Hawkins, 73, died Saturday at the St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
She was born Oct. 20, 1927, to Hurshel A. and Uda Faye Larman at Byars. She had lived in the Wanette and Noble areas all her life. She retired from Griffin Memorial Hospital, where she was a cook.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Theresa Hawkins of Cleveland, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Hurshella and Robert Faye Jons of Noble; five brothers, Galvin Larman ; Vernon Larman ; Royce Larman ; Jerry Larman and Eddie Larman ; one sister, Fern Hale; eight grandchildren, Michael Hawkins II and his wife Shineesta; Miranda Jo Hawkins; Mary Louise Hawkins; Johnna Lee Hawkins; Robert D. Jones III; Robin A. Moser and husband Matt; David R. Jones and Laura F. Jones; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wanette. The Rev. Kenneth Adams and Vincent Payne will officiate; burial will be in Johnsonville Cemetery, Byars, Okla. Arrangements are under the direction of Wadley's Funeral Service in Purcell.
