Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Byars for Gerald Ray George, Shawnee, who was killed in an automobile mishap Tuesday.
George was born Jan. 23, 1935 in McAlester. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dec. 21, 1971 and his father, April,12, 1974. A brother also proceded him in death Dec. 2, 1973.
Surviving relatives include the widow, Fern of the home; three sons, Jerry of the home, David of Altus, and Sanford of Tulsa; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Hunter of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Beverly Chapline of El Paso, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Ledford, McAlester; seven brothers, Edward of Austin, Tex.,; James of Byars; Charles David of Downey, Calif.; Rober of Los Angeles, Calif., Clyde of California; Clarence and Earl Campbell of Tacoma, Wash.,; and three grandchildren.
Rev. Theodore Loveless of McAlester will officiate at the services and burial will be at Johnsonville Cemetery under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home of Stratford.
