Janette Wadley “Janie” Collings, of Norman, formerly a long-time resident of the Pauls Valley area, passed away January 2, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years.
Janette A. Wadley was born March 26, 1950 in Fort Dix, New Jersey to R. B. Wadley and Mary Elizabeth (Pope) Wadley.
She was married to David M. Collings on November 28, 1969 at the Methodist Church in Byars Oklahoma. She attained her license as a Hair Stylist and ran a successful business in Pauls Valley for many years, her family attended Trinity Baptist Church in Pauls Valley. Janie never met a stranger and strived each day to spread the Lords love. Janie was cherished by all that knew her and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, R. B. and Mary Wadley as well as her beloved in laws Earl and Irene Collings.
Janie's surviving family include her husband of 51 years, Dave Collings of the home; two sons, Kevin Collings and wife, Jenny Ochodnicky of Shaftsbury, Vermont. Matthew and wife, Susan Collings, and their son, Ayden, of Pauls Valley.
The family has requested that donations, in Janie's name, be sent to the non-profit group, Celebrating Together.
