Lota Fern Davis George Beal was born in the Byars, Oklahoma area on 10 September 1933 and after a very short and sudden illness left this world on 17 July 2010 at the Unity Hospital.
Fern had lived in Shawnee for over 50 years. She worked at Finley Cleaners for 30 years. Fern had many loved ones and friends. Fern enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in her yard and going to garage sales.
Fern was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald George, her son, Sanford George; her second husband, Glenn Beal; her father and mother; two brothers; one sister and one sister-in-law.
She is survived by her children Charles David George and wife Sylvia; Beverly Chapline and husband Joe; Gloria Douthit and husband George and Gerry George. Her grandchildren, Geoffrey George, Steven George, Little Joe Chapline and wife Jaime; Jame Chapline, Jimmy Schaefer and wife Deanna, Joey Schaefer and wife Mary Ann, and Charlie Marie Snider. 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Sisters, Charlene Alvord and husband Glenn, Sharon Fleming and husband Don, and brothers, Doyle David and wife Barbara and Paul Davis and wife Carman; and one sister-in-law, Fran. Good friend and family Francine Anderson along with numerous nieces and nephews.
We wish to thank all the ICU staff at Unity Hospital for all their help and special thanks to Dr. R. Scott Stewart for all his help and kindness, patience and understanding.
Service was held on July 21 at 10a.m. at the New Johnsonville Cemetery in Byars, Oklahoma under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
