Tom retired from Tinker Air Force Base where he was a material dispatcher. He later worked for the Blanchard school as a crossing guard. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virgie and three sons-in-laws, Monroe Testerman, John Morgan and Bill West, and five grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Virginia Morgan, of Blanchard; Ruby West, of Cole, Laura Testerman, of Blanchard; Cynthia Testerman, of Blanchard; Paul and wife Tammy, of Oklahoma City; and Thomas and wife Lisa, of Elmore City.
