Thomas F. Neal, 86, of Moore, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, in Oklahoma City.
Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha. Sevier Funeral Home provided the arrangements. Neal was born July 23, 1920, in Grady County, Okla., to John Robert and Ruth Ethel (Roggers) Neal. He was a veteran of World War II from 1942 to 1945. He served in the Army Air Corp. flying 47 missions and completing 234 combat hours. He and Ivon Taylor were married October 24, 1944 in Chickasha. Thomas farmed in the Alex Community from 1945 to 1950 but had lived in the Oklahoma City area since 1950. He retired from Tinker Field in 1980 after 30 years. He had lived in Moore for the last three years. He was an ordained Baptist Deacon and a member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jake Neal; four sisters, Anna Hughes, Maple Hughes, Elsie Stubblefield, and Dicey Neal. Survivors include his wife, Ivon Neal, of the home in Moore; two daughters, Barbara Neal and Judy Lee, both of Moore; one sister, Alice Hughes, of Alex; four grand children, Lora Smith, Angie Henager, Kristi Lee, and William Poteet; and seven great grand children. |
