Adda Mae Laverne Cole, 69, died Sept. 13, 2006.

Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Blanchard Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Harper officiated. Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard, made the arrangements.

Cole was born January 30, 1937, in Byars, Okla., to Clifford Irene (Smith) and Doris Thurmon Byars.

Cole lived in Newcastle and Blanchard from 1968 to her death. She was a member of Christ Chapel in Blanchard and Chickasaw Nation Senior Citizen in Purcell. She enjoyed cooking, traveling with the Senior Citizens, and was proud of her Indian heritage.

Cole was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband Thurmon of Blanchard; sons, Mark Cole and his wife, Brenda, of Blanchard, Tim Cole and his wife, Rita, of Elmore City; daughters, Brenda Johnson and her husband, Steve, of Blanchard, Karen Wallace, and her husband, Walley of Oklahoma City, Susan Fitzwater and her husband, Travis, of Choctaw; 33 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; brother, Harold Byars, of Little Axe; sisters, Linda Tedford and her husband, Paul, of San Antonio, Texas, Joyce Yoakum and her husband, Sonny, of Blair; other relatives and friends.
