Arthur Ernest Carroll, 90, died June 13, 2006.
Services were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 16, at the Midway Baptist Church in Dibble. The Rev. Dale Thorn officiated and burial was in the Dibble Cemetery. Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard, made the arrangements. Carroll was born February 3, 1916, in Wade, Okla., to Gracie (Billings) and Wiley Carroll. He was employed by Western Auto as a salesman. Arthur married Edna Marie Graham on January 14, 1939, in Winfield, Kan., and they celebrated 67 happy years together. They made their home in and around the Oklahoma City area, but lived in Dibble for 38 years. Arthur was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Dibble and he enjoyed gardening and taking care of his livestock. Survivors include his sons Donald Carroll and wife Karen of Oklahoma City, David Carroll and wife Linda of Shawnee; eight grandchildren Janice Christol, Cindy Andress, Mike Carroll, Lorie Taylor, Jenny Erives, Ryan Kinsey, Trey Kinsey, Christy Lane; 13 great grandchildren; brother Wiley Carroll, Jr. and wife Betty of Tuttle; sisters Mary Carroll of Lexington, and Evelyn Westmoreland of Burleson, Texas. Numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Edna Marie Carroll on March 23, 2006, and daughter Nancy Kinsey. |
