Bobby Gerald Abbott, 67, died Sept. 8, 2006.

Services were at 2 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Eisenhour Chapel in Blanchard. Chaplin Jack Poe officiated, and burial was in the Blanchard Cemetery. Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard, made the arrangements.

Abbott was born Jan. 2, 1939, in Lubbock, Texas, to Velma (Bitt) and Connie Abbott.

Abbott graduated from Gracemont High School and moved from Oklahoma City to Blanchard in 1964. On May 5, 1976, he married Linda Helms in Blanchard. He retired from the Oklahoma City Police Department and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a Mason. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe and Bill.

Survivors include his wife, Linda, of Blanchard; sons, Steve Abbott and his wife, Kathy, of Newcastle, Jessie Abbott and his wife, Amy, of Blanchard; daughter, Yvette Abbott of Blanchard; grandchildren, Cody Abbott, Jeffery McKenzie, Ethen Abbott, James Arnold, Darin Arnold; five great grandchildren; sister, Mable Allen of Anadarko; numerous other relatives and friends.
