Kip Dean Williamson, 63, was born on February 5, 1963, to Forrest Dean and Shirley Sue Williamson in Weatherford, Texas.

He passed away on March 12, 2026, in Oklahoma City.

Kip left behind a lifetime of laughter, stories, and love for the people around him. In 1987, he married the love of his life, Judy Bennett.

Kip worked for Carhartt for 30 years. Outside of work, he loved spending time outdoors. You could often find him bow hunting, especially for white-tailed deer, fishing for bass at just about any lake he could get to, or on the golf course.

Those who knew Kip will remember his personality just as much as his passions. He was goofy, funny, witty, and outgoing, the kind of person who was always ready with a joke and could light up any room. Kip was a natural storyteller and a big talker. When Kip told a story it felt like you were "living it as he was telling it." He truly was the life of the party and never met a stranger, liking just about anyone he crossed paths with.

Kip was also a man of Christian faith who loved serving his church community. Over the years he faithfully served as a Sunday School director, a men's ministry leader, and an usher.

Perhaps his most cherished title, however, was “Poppy.” That's what his grandchildren called him, and they held a very special place in his heart. He loved them dearly and treasured every moment he got to spend with them.

Kip will be remembered for his laughter, his stories, his faith, and the joy he brought into the lives of those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by family and friends.

Kip was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Lula "MiMi" and Doyle "Poppy" White; paternal grandparents Forrest and Nadine Williamson; and his mother Shirley Sue Goatley.

He is survived by his wife Judy Lynn Williamson of the Home; sons Kaden and Stefanie Williamson of North Carolina, and Kelton and Kylie Williamson of Edmond; father Forrest Dean Williamson; half-brothers Luke, Forrest, and Joseph Williamson; half-sisters Joy Daniels, Nadine McAdoo, Spring Shrum, and Grace Bremenour; grandchildren Kenton, Leland, Remedy, Haven, Cooper, and One On the Way; a brother (from another mother) Scott Bennett; and many other family and friends aka his "people".

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church, PO Box 60 Louisburg, NC 27549.

A visitation will be held from 12:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, March 16, 2026, at the funeral home with family present to greet friends from 12:00-1:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Woodland Hills Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Newcastle Memorial Gardens.
