Michael Eugene Secrest, Jr., 43, of Newcastle, died March 26, 2015 in Oklahoma City. He was born September 3, 1971 in Oklahoma City. Michael worked as a carpenter. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching OU football and was very interested in astronomy. Michael enjoyed working with his hands and spent countless hours building all kinds of things and remodeling. He loved to have fun and was always joking and pestering his family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Dorothy Waltrip; three grandfathers, Tony Castro, Ronnie Saylor, and Donald Secrest; and one aunt, Mary Kay Tendell.
He is survived by four daughters, Nicole Secrest of Walters, Myam Secrest of Walters, Angel Davis of Norman, and Elexxis Davis of Norman; one son, Matthew Trusty of Tennessee; his mother, Carmelita Robertson and her husband, Mike, of Newcastle; his father, Mike Secrest and his wife, Debbie, of Florida; four sisters, Misti Dawn Keene and John Mettleton of Oklahoma City, Stephanie Johnson and her husband, Chris, of Newcastle, Rebekah Keester and her husband, David, of Jones, and Katie Secrest of Enid; five brothers, Jeremy Robertson of Newcastle, Michael Lee Sorrentino of Enid, Chris Secrest of Ohio, Bryan Secrest of Ohio, and Daniel Secrest of Florida; his grandmother, who adored him, Charlotte Saylor, of Newcastle; nieces and nephews, Jalyn and Myiah Johnson and Ryan and Lily Keester; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Newcastle Memorial Gardens in Newcastle.
