Natalie Dawn Riggs age 45 of Newcastle, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017 at her home.
She was born Christmas day, 1971 in Oklahoma City. Her parents were Victor Ray Riggs and Virginia Arlene (Braden) Riggs. Natalie grew up in Newcastle and graduated from Newcastle High School with the class of 1990. While in high school she was a cheerleader but rather preferred playing softball and basketball. She went on to college at OCCC and Oklahoma University. She later graduated from South Puget Sound in Olympia Washington as a Registered Nurse. Natalie was a member of First Baptist Church in Newcastle, saved and baptized at the age of 10. As a child she was dogmatic in her views of how a Christian should live and would often tell her parents when they got out of line. Natalie later got married and raised a daughter, Carly. They were close all of her life and Natalie was so proud of Carly’s accomplishments. Natalie liked going to Carly’s cheerleading events and watching her perform. Natalie was a beautiful woman inside and out, she was intelligent and had a big heart. She liked to shop and go to car shows. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and we will see her again someday.
