Brittanie Morris, age 38 of Newcastle, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016.
Brittanie Diane Tipps was born August 27, 1978 in Okla. City, OK, 1 of 3 children born to Ricky Lynn and Pamela Lynn (Parker) Tipps. She was raised in Okla. City, and attended school there, later graduating from Westmoore High School with the Class of 1996. Brittanie married her best friend and soul mate, Michael Kent Morris on June 2, 2000, in Okla. City. Brittanie later returned to school, earning her Associates Degree in Nursing from Oklahoma City Community College. Brittanie dedicated her life to caring for others, and found both, fulfillment and reward in her work as a Registered Nurse. Her greatest joy however was her family and she truly cherished being a mother to daughter, Kameryn and sons, Kaden and Kaleb. She loved the holidays and especially Christmas. She enjoyed crafts and photography and never missed an opportunity to curl up with a good book. She loved animals and especially dogs, and was a strong advocate for the wellbeing and protection of all animals. Brittanie was a loving wife and mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be deeply missed!
She was preceded in death by: Her grandparents, Gayla Faye Cruz, Kenneth Ray Tipps and Leo and Marie Schickedanz.
Brittanie leaves behind: Her husband, Michael Morris, and Their children, Kameryn, Kaden and Kaleb, all of the home; Her mother, Pam Clay and husband Tommy of Newcastle; Father, Ricky Tipps and wife Valerie of Edmond; Sister, Ashley Davis and husband Tyler of Newcastle; Brother, Ricky Tipps and wife Heather of Moore; ½ sister, Jessica Welch and husband Shane of Del City; Step siblings, Nicole Washington and Cory Washington and wife Darcy, all of Nacoma Park; Grandparents, Rae Estellle Basinger of Okla. City and Norma Morris of Yukon; Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home, 3132 Tri-City Ave, Newcastle.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 9:00 A.M. Thursday December 8, 2016, at the Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. Burial will follow at Newcastle Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle. A Go Fund Me Campaign, In Memory of Brittanie Morris has been set up, and all are encouraged to give to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary.
