Thomas Herbert Moberly, 79, of Oklahoma City, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in Oklahoma City. The son of Hiram Webster Moberly and Hazel (McCormick) Moberly, he was born July 20, 1938 in Sacramento, California.
Tom married Mary Ellen Pearson on May 10, 1958 in Wilburton, Oklahoma. He was the president and founder of Abba Bible College and spent his life as a minister and missionary. Tom traveled all over the world spreading the gospel and ministering to people. He especially loved visiting the Navajo Reservations and holding crusades in India. He was talented musically and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. Tom was a member of the Souls of The Light Christian Center in Newcastle, where he served as Bishop.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don Moberly and Ken Moberly; and a daughter-in-law, Sheila Moberly.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Moberly, of Oklahoma City; one son, Bret Moberly of Newcastle; one daughter, Tanya Pugh and her husband, Alan, of Newcastle; two grandchildren, Jeremy Moberly and his wife, Andrea, of Oklahoma City and Jazelle Cox and her husband, Jesse, of Newcastle; two great grandchildren, Carson Moberly and Peyton Moberly; one great-great grandson, Elijah; one sister, Neva Kves of California; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will hold a memorial service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Souls of The Light Christian Center in Newcastle.
Private family interment was held at the Newcastle Memorial Gardens in Newcastle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Tom's name to M & M Ministries, P.O. Box 1411, Oklahoma City, OK 73101. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
