Becky Jackson, age 54 of Purcell, passed away Wednesday October 21, 2015. Rebecca Gail Bennett was born November 8, 1960 in Dallas, TX, 1 of 3 children born to Glen Ray Bennett and Shirley V. (McCormick) Bennett. She was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools, graduating in 1978. Becky then attended Moore/Norman VO Tech where she obtained her LPN. She began working, and at the same time taking classes at OCCC, where she obtained her RN License. She then attended the University of Oklahoma earning her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Becky was drawn to helping others. She devoted her life to her work as a critical care nurse. During her extensive nursing career, Becky worked at both Norman Regional Hospital and Purcell Municipal Hospitals. Over the last year, Becky worked as private nurse, caring and providing for many home bound patients. Becky lived in Purcell for most all of her life and was proud to have raised her family there. She was most proud of her kids, son Jeremy and daughter Jennifer. Becky was never happier than when she became a grandma to Gunner and Harper. Becky a gifted artist, enjoyed sewing and crocheting, a gift she shared with her mother. She was a member of the Sunray Baptist Church in Purcell. Becky was deeply loved and will be remembered for her thoughtful gifts and witty sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Glen Ray Bennett and Shirley Owens;
Becky leaves behind: Her son, Jeremy Jackson and wife Adika of Midland, TX; Her daughter, Jennifer Ingle and husband Trevor of Blanchard, OK; 2 grandkids, Gunner and Harper Jackson; Siblings; Sammy Bennett of Purcell, Debbie Patterson and husband David of Norman, Greg Owens and wife Sandra of Jones, OK, Jon Owens of Norman, Shawn Owens and wife Shannon of Gilmer, TX and Tamara Owens of Chickasha; Step Father, Don Owens of Purcell; Aunts and Uncles, Qunin and Phyllis Bennett of Purcell, Alyce McCormick of Salt Lake City, UT, Marilyn Parrild of Palm Springs, CA and Rita Liberty of Purcell.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday October 24, 2015, at the Sunray Baptist Church in Purcell.
