Judith H Hamilton, 66, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 14, 2014.

Judy was born on February 23, 1948 in Petersburg, Virginia to Claude and Virginia Hatch. She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1966.

While working as a clerk typist at Fort Lee in Virginia, Judy met the love of her life, Ronald J. Hamilton. They married in 1967 and moved to Oklahoma in 1968 where she became a member of his large family. Ron and Judy had two children, Denise and Chris. Primarily a homemaker, Judy periodically accepted clerical positions outside the home.

Judy cherished family gatherings, her relationship with Jesus Christ and her church family and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and especially treasured her granddaughters. Judy was very proud of her granddaughters, Jacqueline and Jasmine. When her great granddaughter was born, “GG” said that Zoe brought new joy to her life. Judy was blessed to spend 2 years with Zoe before her health declined. She was a terrific cook who loved making meals from scratch. Judy was also a seamstress, making clothes for her family. She was pleased to help others by being a blood donor on a regular basis.

Judy loved the Lord and enjoyed being a member of many Bible study and prayer groups over the years where she made many lifelong “sisters-in-Christ” friends. She was a faithful member of The Calling, a church in Norman, Oklahoma.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Virginia, and her brother, Wayne Hatch.

She is survived by Ron, her husband of 47 years; daughter Denise Mohammadi, and husband Tony, of Norman; son Chris of Newcastle; granddaughter Jacqueline Wilcox, and husband Brandon, of Noble; granddaughter Jasmine Mohammadi, of Norman; great-granddaughter Zoe Wilcox, of Noble; brother-in-law Terry Hamilton, and wife Elizabeth of Gallup N.M.; sister-in-law Ann Hamilton of Norman, sister-in-law Mary Lou Casper, and husband, G. David, of Oklahoma City, brother-in-law Robert Hamilton, and wife Jamey, of Norman; brother-in-law Charles Hamilton, and wife Elizabeth, of Yukon; and many nieces and nephews.
