Tommy Dean Clay age 69 of Newcastle, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at his home. For several years Tommy fought a battle with cancer.

Tommy was born on October 20, 1949 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a twin and the oldest child of seven children born to Tommy Delbert Clay and Norma Christine (Ladd) Clay. Tommy grew up in South Oklahoma City and attended U. S. Grant High School. At age 19, he was drafted into the U. S. Army and proudly served his country for two years overseas during the Vietnam Conflict. After being honorably discharged he returned home to Oklahoma City and worked for Unit Parts for seven years. In 1981 he went to work for General Motors in the OKC plant and worked there until he retired.

Tommy married Pam Parker on March 23, 1990 and together they raised three children and 16 grandchildren. They lived in Moore for eleven years before moving to Newcastle in 2011. While living in Newcastle, Tommy was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. After retiring from GM, Tommy started selling watermelons. For 15 years he sold watermelons at the Farmers Market in Moore, Oklahoma and at the intersection of 149th and Western.

Throughout his life, Tommy was an avid goose and duck hunter. He also was an avid O. U. Fan. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was also a special brother, uncle and cousin.

He was preceded in death by:
Parents, Delbert and Norma Clay
Daughter, Brittanie Morris,
Sister-in-law, Kay Clay,
Brother-in-law, Allen Shane.
He is survived by:
Wife of 29 years, Pam Clay of the home.
Two children, Ricky Tipps and wife Heather of Moore,
Ashley Davis and husband Tyler of Newcastle.
Three brothers, His twin, Benny Clay of Newcastle,
Gale Clay and wife Brenda of OKC,
Roger Clay and wife Tracey of Houston.
Three sisters, Rose Ann Richardson and husband Tim of Tyler, TX.
Susan Shane of OKC,
Shelly Pulliam and husband David of San Antonio, TX.
16 grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation time with family and friends will be Sunday evening, Feb. 10, 2019 from 6-8PM at Wilson-Little Funeral Home, 3132 Tri City Ave., Newcastle, OK. Tommy's memorial service will be 2:00PM Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, 313 S. Hwy 76, Newcastle, OK.
