Jerrald Boydston age 82 of Wayne, passed away at his home on November 27, 2022.
Jerrald DeWayne Boydston was born on October 6, 1940 in Wayne to Elmer Wesley Boydston and Lola Viola Boydston (Helton). He grew up in the area, attended Wayne schools, and always called it home. Jerrald worked for McClain County driving a road grader for fifteen years, and worked for the OTASCO store in Purcell for eighteen years. He was a hard worker and always provided for his family. He ran cattle since he was a teenager and loved naming his cows. Jerrald enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He was proud of being a grandpa, and loved watching his grandkids sled down the big hill when it snowed at the old home place. Jerrald enjoyed watching NASCAR, and spending time with his friends and family. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandpa who will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Betty Boydston, his parents Elmer and Lola Boydston, his son Gary Boydston, and daughter-in-law Andrea Boydston.
Jerrald is survived by his brother Benny Boydston. His children, Jerry Boydston and wife Louise of Purcell, OK, Debra Craig and husband Curtis of Asher, OK, and Glenn Boydston of Wayne, OK. His grandchildren Darrin, Cristina, Melissa, Amanda, Christopher, Joe, Jamie and John. He also leaves behind great grandchildren Coltin, Cianna, Christopher, Cason, Keeli, Zoey, and Corrin, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday December 1st, 2022 at Little’s Chapel, Wilson-Little Purcell with burial to follow at Hopping Cemetery in Wayne. Send online condolences at www.wilsonlittle.com
