(permission granted)

Pauline Weaver, age 94 of Purcell, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Sunset Estates Nursing Home.

Pauline Elizabeth Howe was born May 9, 1924 in Reece, Kansas, the oldest of 3 daughters born to Percy L. Howe and Jesse Fern (Ryan) Howe. Pauline spent her early years in Kansas before the Howe family settled in Oklahoma, splitting time between Ada and Blackwell. Pauline met a young Sailor at the Navy Base east of Lexington. As fate would have it, she met him again at the Rainbow Café on Main Street in Purcell. This Sailor asked her for a kiss, and to his chagrin, she obliged. Pauline married this Sailor, her best friend and life partner, Ozie Weaver, on October 22, 1943. They made their home in Purcell where together they raised two children, daughter Karen and son, Terry. For a few years, Pauline kept books for Ozie’s Electrician Business. Pauline later worked at I.G.A. as a clerk. Her greatest joy however was just being a wife, mother and grandmother. Pauline lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it. Whether taking art classes at the Vo Tech or just drinking coffee at McDonalds with the girls, Pauline embraced the day. She was generous and thoughtful, and always ready for a good laugh. She was a woman of great faith and longtime member of the First Christian Church in Purcell. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, and she will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by:

          Her husband, Ozie Weaver;

          Her parents, Percy and Jesse Fern Howe and

          Her sister,  Lois Roberts.

Pauline is survived by:

          Her son, Terry Weaver and wife Charlotte of Wayne;

          Her daughter, Karen Green and husband Gorman of Purcell;

          Four grandchildren,    Jeff Weaver and wife Patty of Wayne,

                                                Stacey Meyer of Wayne,

                                                Chad Green and wife Andrea of Blanchard and

                                                Troy Green and wife Lara of Purcell;

          10 great grandchildren, Dakota, Natalie, Karlie, Ava, Carter, Brooke, Lane, Bentlee, Cheyenne and J.J.;  1 great great on the way and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
