Danny Weaver, age 74 of Purcell, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Jesse Daniel Weaver was born February 19, 1944 in San Diego, CA, the only son and oldest of 4 children born to James Robert Weaver and Ella Pearl (Smith) Weaver. Danny was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools, graduating with the Class of 1963. Danny proudly served his country in the Army Air National Guard. On November 23, 1965, Danny married his best friend and life partner, Sharon Smart. They made their home in Purcell, where together they raised two daughters, Dana and Sherry. Danny worked in the family plumbing business, Weaver’s Plumbing, alongside his father, and later took the company as his own. For several years, Danny has served Purcell and the surrounding communities with honest and reliable service. He was always doing for others and looked for ways he could meet someone’s needs in service. Danny was a happy man; witty and always ready to get you laughing with a good joke. When not working, he loved trading for and talking about classic cars with his good friend, Garland. Danny cherished his family and especially his grandchildren, and he enjoyed attending their sporting events, choir concerts, school functions or other activities.
Danny was a man of strong faith and a longtime member of Grace Chapel in Lexington. He was also proud of his Chickasaw heritage. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a one of a kind father to both his daughters along with countless others who considered him as a father figure; a grandfather and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!
