Jimmy Wade, age 63 of Purcell, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013. Jimmy was born July 19, 1950 in Purcell, the baby boy and 8th of 9 children born to Daniel Joseph Wade and Stella Adel (Slate) Wade. He grew up in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools. Jimmy was drafted into the United States Army and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. After a medical discharge, he returned home and married his best friend and true love, Billie Diane McAlister, on April 9, 1973. They made their home primarily in Purcell where they raised 2 daughters, Kathy and Kristy. Jimmy worked in construction as a roofing contractor for many years. He liked to fish and playing pool and never missed an opportunity to play guitar with his brother-in-law, Ronnie. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him!

He was preceded in death by: His wife, Billie Diane Wade; Two Children, Infant twins, Jimmy and Jennifer Wade; A grandson, Jimmy Wade; His parents, Daniel and Stella Wade and Siblings, Curtis Wade, Ray Wade and Catherine Key.

Jimmy leaves behind: His daughters, Kristy Wade of Norman, OK and Kathy Wade of Texas; His brother, Danny Wade of Norman, Sisters, Judy Wade and Tom Yates of Norman, Shirley Martin and husband Ronnie of Norman, Dora Byrd of Norman and Linda Gordon and husband Bobby of Noble; 5 grandchildren, Kristina Chavez, Nathan Chavez, Selena Chavez, Brittany Gillpatrick and Samantha Gillpatrick; 2 great grandchildren, Amya and Alaysha Hinds and A host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the Wilson-Little Chapel. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little of Purcell.
