Tom Tucker, age 88 of Norman, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015. Thomas Hampton Tucker was born October 28, 1926 in Bethel, OK, 1 of 10 children born to Walter and Emma (Carpenter) Tucker. He spent his early years in Bethel and later Byars, OK.

Tom joined the United States Army and served his country proudly during W.W. II, serving overseas in the Philippines. On April 10, 1947, Tom married his best friend and soul mate; a young lady from Rosedale, OK named Betty Jo Easley. They made their home in Oceanside, CA where they raised their only son, Ron. Tom worked at Carlsbad, California Water District from 1947-1965, when he and Betty Jo returned home to Oklahoma, settling in Norman. Tom began working at the Central Oklahoma Master Conservancy District at Lake Thunderbird, retiring as manager. Tom and Betty Jo retired to the family homestead near Rosedale. Tom was a good husband and father; he was a good example for his grandsons, Ryan and Chris, and great grandson, Seth. He was friend to many!

He was preceded in death by: His wife, Betty Jo Tucker in July of 2014; His parents, Walter and Emma Tucker; 3 brothers, Jesse, Fred and Huston Tucker and 5 sisters, Inez Beller, Allie Bradshaw, Louise Easley; Dessie Wallace and Nora Ewing.

Tom leaves behind: His son, Ron Tucker of Norman; His sister, Dora Shirley of Norman; Grandsons, Ryan Tucker of Norman and Chris Tucker and wife Nikki, and their son, Seth, all Of Del Rio, TX; Several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
