Betty Smith, age 75 of Washington, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016, at the Community Hospital in Oklahoma City. Betty Ann Shea was born March 31, 1941 in Purcell, OK, 1 of 9 children born to Daniel Shea and Helen Edmae (Dumas) Shea. She grew up in the Purcell area, attending school at both Dibble and Purcell. Betty married her best friend and the love of her life, Jack Smith, on August 15, 1969. They first made their home in Oklahoma City before settling in Wayne. Betty retired from York International, while also working with Jack in the family business, Jack Smith Remodeling. Her greatest joy and most important job however, was being a mother and grandmother. Betty loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She was their biggest fan, and hardly ever missed a school activity or game. They were her life! Betty was an avid sports fan and followed OU Sooner sports and the Oklahoma City Thunder. She was a longtime and faithful member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Betty will be remembered as a sweet, generous and a very giving person! She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Jack Smith; Son, Drew Smith; Parents, Daniel and Helen Shea; Sister, Dorothy Simeroth and 2 brothers, Bill Shea and Ralph Shea.

Betty leaves behind: Her children, Sheliah Payne of Choctaw, Brian Smith of Durham, NC, Lisa Waller of Jones, Jacque Preston and husband Brian of Okla. City, Kathy Keeler and husband Bartley of Washington and Brad Smith and wife Katie of Norman; 3 sisters, Ruby Whatley of Purcell, Laverne Claunch of Purcell and Linda Tippit and husband Richard of Okla. City; 2 brothers, Dan Shea of Lexington and Bob Shea and wife Gloria of Purcell; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and A host of other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell. Send online condolences at wilsonlittle.com
