Virginia Lea (Rollins) Rogez, age 67 of Purcell, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. Virginia was born September 23, 1948 in Washington, OK, the 5th of 6 children born to Vernon Rollins and Iosa (Tompkins) Rollins. She was raised in Washington and attended Washington Schools. Virginia married young, to Emery Barker Jr., and to this union, 4 children, sons, James and Kenneth and daughters, Mary and Carla were born. Virginia worked in various convenience stores in the Lexington area for many years, managing several of them. On July 9, 1994, Virginia and Chuck Rogez were united in marriage at the Union Hill Baptist Church in Purcell. When not working, Virginia enjoyed playing cards and especially solitaire and never shied away from a good game of Free Cell on her computer. She was a very gifted quilter and enjoyed sewing when able. Her greatest joy and most proud accomplishment was her family. She truly cherished the everyday moments and leaves a wonderful legacy for her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her son, Kenneth Barker; Her parents, Vernon and Iosa Rollins; 2 sisters, Lorene Kimberlin and Carolyn Rollins and 3 brothers, Marion, Kenneth and Harold Rollins.

Virginia leaves behind: Her husband, Chuck Rogez of the home; Son, James Barker and wife Jamie of Lexington; Daughters, Mary Barker of San Antonio, TX and Carla Carter and husband Daniel of Wanette; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews, And a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 9:00 A.M. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery. Send online condolences at wilsonlittle.com
