Joyce Rinehart, age 89 of Purcell, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023.
Joyce Dean Fielder was born December 16, 1933 in Wayne, Oklahoma, the youngest of three children born to Charles H. Fielder and Ida Ethel (Lynn) Fielder. She spent her early years in Wayne and later Purcell, where she graduated with the Dragon Class of 1952.
Joyce married her best friend and life partner, Doyle Lee Rinehart on May 18, 1953 in Purcell. Together they raised four children, son Tracey and daughters, Tijuana, Tina and Tika.
Joyce first worked for Louie Beck at the law Office, and the IRS for a time. She then worked as a secretary at Purcell High School until leaving to care for her husband. She also managed to continue the day-to-day operations of Doyle’s Music for as long as she could. Away from work, she enjoyed taking walks and tending to her mother’s roses, and she never missed an opportunity to curl up with a good book.
Joyce was a woman of great faith and longtime member of the 9th & Pierce Church of Christ. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Doyle Rinehart; her parents Charlie and Ida Fielder and a sister Deacie Maxine ”Tiny” Rose.
Joyce is survived by: her children, Tijuana Woodrow (Marty) of Slaughterville, OK, Tina Rinehart Hayes (Jerry) of Purcell, Tracey Rinehart (Roger) of Dallas, TX and Tika Rinehart (Darrin) of Norman; Brother, Charles L.
