Cora Jeanette Reinhardt age 84 of Purcell, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Purcell. She was born on March 1, 1932 in Oklahoma. She was the 5th child of eight children born to John Early Reinhardt Sr. and Cora Mae (Selman) Reinhardt. Jeanette also known as “Totsie” grew up and lived in Purcell all of her life. Jeanette began working in her earlier years as a cook. First cooking at the Purcell Santa Fe Hotel, located on the east end of Main Street, at the base of Depot Hill. She later worked at Chickasha Hills Restaurant in Purcell. Then in the mid 1970’s she began working at Central State Hospital in Norman where she retired after 20 years of dedicated service. Jeanette enjoyed being outdoors and especially liked to fish. Some of her favorite lakes were Purcell Lake, Maysville Lake and Dalgren Lake. She loved spending time driving around the country side with her sisters and brothers. She also liked to work crossword, jigsaw puzzles, going to garage sales, shopping and going out to eat. She was of the Baptist faith and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, John and Cora Reinhardt; Three sisters, Cordelia Lawson, Mildred Qualls and Helen Reinhardt; Three brothers, Doyle Reinhardt, William Henry “Biggin” Reinhardt and John Early Reinhardt JR; Three brothers-in-law, Marshal Lawson, Alvin Qualls and Louis Cross; One grandson, Jason Todd Reinhardt, And several nieces and nephews; She is survived by: One daughter, Thelma Jones and husband Dennis of Purcell, one sister, Clara Belle Cross of Norman; three grandsons, J.J. Jones and wife Trinity of Maysville, Josh Jones and wife Tiffeny of Purcell, Jake Jones and Kim of Cole, 7 great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Terry Reinhardt of Purcell; also many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
