Imogene “Jean” Reeves, age 91 of Lexington, passed away
Monday, October 16, 2017.
Imogene Johnson was born April 1, 1926 in Fox,
Oklahoma, the youngest of 6 children born to Claud Dwitt Johnson and
Betty Myrtle (Moody) Johnson. Jean attended Loco Schools, graduating
with the Class of 1944. Jean worked as an Accountant for the Kerr McGee
Oil Company, retiring after more than 22 years of dedicated service. On
February 9, 1979, she married the love of her life, Earl Reeves Jr. They
lived in Midwest City for a time, and then Slaughterville and Norman,
before settling in Purcell in 1995 where together they managed the
John’s Apartments. In 2002, the sold the business and moved across the
bridge to Lexington. Jean was the proud mother of 4 children, daughter
Karen and sons, Frank, Rick and John. She loved the outdoors and looked
forward to family camping trips to Lake Murray. She enjoyed crocheting
and quilting and loved sharing her gifts with family and friends. She
was faithful member of the Lighthouse Worship Center in Purcell. Jean
will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will
be dearly missed!
Jean is survived by: 3 sons, Frank Fry and wife Vickie of Harrah, Rick Fry and wife Lori of Guthrie and John Fry of Lexington; Daughter, Karen Collins and husband Phil of Boswell; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Earl Reeves Jr; Parents, Claud and Betty Johnson and 5 brothers + sisters, Pat Johnson, Syvil Beare, Merl Junk, J.C. Johnson and Ted Johnson.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2017, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
