Funeral services for Willa Dean (Raines) Offolter, 81, of Lexington were
held at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel on Oct. 11, 2008 . Interment
was in Hillside Cemetery at Purcell under the direction of Wilson-Little
Funeral Home in Purcell.
She was born Aug. 27, 1927 in Keystone, Okla., the oldest of three
children of Cecil Cleo Pearson and Irene (Winford) Pearson and died Oct.
7, 2008 at Odyssey Hospice House in Oklahoma City.
Her family moved to the Capitol Hill area in Oklahoma City at an early
age. She attended schools there and graduated from Central High School
in 1945. Mrs. Offolter worked at Tinker Air Force Base. She also worked
as a dance instructor, teaching country and western dances.
She married Robert Fay Raines on Jan. 2, 1947, They had three daughters,
Karen, Sherrell and Lisa, and made their home in Midwest City. The
couple moved to Lexington in 1978. Robert preceded
her in death in 1986.
She married Floyd Offolter and he died in 2004.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen Arnold (Craig) of Choctaw,
Sherrell Breshears of Purcell and Lisa Raines of Norman; one brother,
Lindell Pearson of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, Robert “Bob” Raines and Floyd Offolter ,
she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tommy Pearson and
one sister-in-law, Earline Pearson.
Pallbearers were Jim Jacobsen, Matt Jacobsen, Dick Breshears, Richard
Breshears, Craig Arnold and Bruce English.
