Longtime Purcell resident, Louise Newell, age 85, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Louise was born January 4, 1935 in the Keystone Community near Tulsa. She married Richard Glenn Newell on December 3, 1954, and together they raised three children, daughters, Donna and Lawanna and son, Randall. They first made their home in Tulsa, with a couple stops between, before settling in Purcell in 1968. Louise worked tirelessly as a homemaker, caring and providing for her family. She enjoyed tending to her yard and garden, and bird watching. She was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed quilting and shared her many talents with family and friends. She was a wonderful and fun lovin, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Richard Newell; parents, Arch and Mae Butler and siblings, Betty Wideman and Robert Butler.

Louise is survived by: her daughters, Donna Milligan and husband Bobby of Pauls Valley and Lawanna McAdams of Tulsa; Son, Randall Newell and wife Gina of Purcell; sister, Loretta Guinn of Mannford; brothers, Jimmy Butler and wife Pat of Tulsa and Thomas Butler and wife Shirley of Mannford; 4 grandchildren, Joni, Todd, Tara and Kari; 6 great grandchildren, Braeden, Charlie, August, Annie, Charlotte and Nicholas; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
