John R. Naeher, 62, of 1612 SW 67, died Thursday at Baptist Medical Center after a short illness. Prayer vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church. Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. in Purcell, directed by Smith & Kernke Funeral Home.
Naeher was an auditor inspector for State Corporation Commission and an Army Veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Faye; three sons, John R. Jr. and Terry A., both of Oklahoma City, and David G., Tuttle; a daughter, Barbara K. Harris, Dallas; and four grandchildren.

Funeral Mass for Vera Faye Boudreau Naeher, 88, of Purcell, Oklahoma was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2007 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Norman. Rosary service was held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Vera Faye Boudreau Naeher was born May 12, 1919 in Purcell, Oklahoma the daughter of John Henry and Rosana (Marcotte) Boudreau and died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007 in Oklahoma City.

Vera grew up in Purcell and graduated from Purcell High School as salutatorian. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma City.

She and John Raymond Naeher were married Dec. 12, 1941 in Taylor County, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1979.

Vera was a member of the Catholic Church. She volunteered and worked with the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: Three sons and their wives: John and Sam Naeher of Tuttle, David and Mary Naeher of Tuttle, Terry and Judy Naeher of Moore; one daughter: Barbara Harris of Garland, Texas; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery, Purcell, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
