Agnes Fay “Sug” Mullens age 77 of Oklahoma City, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in OKC. She was born May 16, 1936 in Purcell and was the youngest of 11 children born to Abner Frank Miller and Fannie Clyde (Berry) Miller. Sug grew up in Purcell and graduated from Purcell High School in 1956. One month later on June 3, 1956, she married Manson “Moon” Mullens of Foster, Oklahoma. They were married for 12 years and together had three children; Mark, Toni and Michael. While they were married they lived in various states and town while Moon worked in the oil field. In 1969, Sug moved to Del City with her three children to raise and began working for Lucent Technology. Sug worked hard to provide for her family and retired after 31 years with Lucent. There was only one thing that was important to Sug and that was her family; especially her children and her grandchildren who called her “Mamaw”. On the weekends or when she wasn’t working she was the head babysitter to her granddaughters. As they got older she had fun spoiling them by taking them shopping every week. Throughout her life, Sug enjoyed sewing and cooking for her children and grandchildren. In her later years after she retired she enjoyed watching TV. Some of her favorite shows were, Soaps, Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother and the OKC Thunder.
She was preceded in death by: Parents: Frank and Fannie Miller, One son: Michael Mullens on Feb. 14, 2009, 8 brothers and sisters: Nola Cypert, Lola Miller, Margie Miller, Kenneth Corrine Sebastian, Juanita Gray, Charles Ray Miller, Bill Miller and Stanley Miller. 3 nieces: Glenna Andrews, Gail Turner and Sandy Ramos, 3 nephews: Bruce Miller, Bobby Joe Miller and Terry Wayne Gray.
She is survived by: Daughter: Toni Allen of OKC, Son: Mark Mullens of OKC, Daughter-in-law: Carla Suzann Mullens of OKC, 2 brothers; Bob Miller and wife Letha of Lindsay, OK, Henry Miller and wife Maurine of Hattiesburg, Miss, 3 grandchildren: Mindy Mullens, Jenifer Mullens and Amanda Allen, 1 great granddaughter: Kaelyn Webster, And many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
