Bill Moisant Rites Nov. 16
J.W. "Bill" Moisant, 80, died Nov. 12 at his Oklahoma City home after an illness.
Born at Purcell on Feb. 21, 1904, he moved from Purcell to Oklahoma City in 1945. He was employed at Tinker Field and retired after 20 years of service.
He was a member of the Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Rosary services were held Sunday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oklahoma City and Mass the next morning with Rev. John Stekhen officiating. Burial was in the family plot in Hillside cemetery, Purcell.
Survivors include his wife, Genevie, of the home; two sons, William P. Moisant and Roy E. Moisant, both of Oklahoma City; two step-sons, Phil Schumacher of Oklahoma City; Grey Schumacher of Chickasha; 11 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pall bearers were grandsons and honorary bearers were members of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Mrs. Anna B. Moisant, 79, of 1224 SW 27, died Saturday at St. Anthony Hospital after a long illness. Wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Mass at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church and burial in Hill Top Cemetery, Purcell, directed by Smith & Kernke Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moisant, a native of St. Joseph, Mo., moved to Oklahoma City from Purcell in 1945. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society.
She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph W.; two sons, William and Roy, both of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bailey and Mrs. Nellie McGuire, both of Arkansas City, Kan.; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Moisant Rites Attended In Oklahoma City
Funeral mass for Mrs. Bill (Anna B.) Moisant, Oklahoma City, on May 9 in Sacred Heart Church, was attended by relatives and friends.
Relatives attending included Mrs. Lina Ozment, Mrs. Diana Anhalt, Bill Anhalt, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Larran, Mrs. C.W. Tippit and Bill Smedley all from Purcell.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Negherbon, Hutchinson Kansas, Mrs. Stella Reeves and Mrs. Ruby Laurence of Salina, Kansas, Fred Ozment, Jr. , of Norman.
The Bill Moisant family resided in Purcell for several years until 1945 when they moved to Oklahoma City.
