Bob Joe Miller Sr. age 85 of Lindsay, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 21, 2017, at his home.
He was born January 10, 1932 in Wayne, Oklahoma. He was the 9th child of eleven children born to Abner Frank Miller and Fannie Clyde (Berry) Miller. Bob grew up near Purcell and graduated from Purcell High School in 1950. While in high school he was in FFA. As a young man he enjoyed riding and training horses and riding bull. He later married and had three children while living in Purcell and Lindsay areas most all of his life. Bob first worked as a ranch hand, later became a ranch foreman. He also at one time had worked in the oil field. When he was older he worked as a bar tender. He was a life time member of the Elks Lodge in Lindsay and in Durant. For enjoyment he liked watching PBR and PRCA on TV. He also was an OSU Football fan and an OU girls’ basketball fan. Throughout his life, Bob had many friends and always enjoyed his time visiting with them.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, Nine brothers and sisters, Nola Cypert, Lola Miller, Margie Miller, Kenneth Corrine Sebastian, Juanita Gray, Charles Ray Miller, Bill Miller, Stanley Miller and Agnes Fay “Sug” Mullens. Two children, Bobby Joe Miller Jr. and Sandra Ramos;
He is survived by: His dear friends, Letha L. Hall and her daughter, Joy Perry of Lindsay, Brother, Henry Miller and wife Maurine of Hattiesburg, Miss, His daughter, Dana Ramon of Ga. Step-children, Betty Brawley and husband Terry of Lindsay, Brenda Nunn and husband Robby of Dibble, Ronald Crawford of Lindsay, Danny Crawford of Dibble; Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 23, 2019 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell.
Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
