The funeral for Clara "Liz" Coats McCullar, 75, of Byars, will be 2 p.m.
Thursday at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel, Purcell. Burial will be in
Hillside Cemetery, Purcell.
She was born April 27, 1930, in Kosoma to James Wiley Parker and Georgia
Elizabeth Raibourn and died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at Edmond Medical Center.
She grew up in the Atoka area. She married Ray Coats Sr. They lived in the
Maysville and Purcell areas. He died in May 1982. She later married Leroy
McCullar May 17, 1995. They made their home in Byers.
She worked for Central State Hospital, Norman, for 30 years. She was a member of
the Byars Garden Club.
Surviving are her husband Leroy of the home; children, Roy Coats Jr. of Purcell,
David Coats of Oklahoma City, Karen Alexander and Connie Walker, both of Enid,
Teresa Coats of Purcell, Linda Coats and Linda Hill, both of Lexington, Donna
Smith of Blanchard, Janet Stephens of Byars, Jessie McClurg of Edmond, Cindy
Payne of Ada, Dwight McCullar of Byars and Diana O'Bryant of Pauls Valley; 43
grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband, Roy, she was preceded in death by one son,
three brothers and one granddaughter.
