O.R. “Buster” Luker, age 93, of Purcell, passed away Friday December 11, 2020. Overton Ray Luker was born December 23, 1926 in Kingston, OK to Charlie and Vida Luker. He remembered as young man, crawling through a cattle fence, and hearing his sister scream “Run, Buster, Run” over and over, as a bull was charging him, although he didn’t know until after. He married Norah Virginia Rowe on September 27, 1948, and together they raised two sons, Ray and Roy. Buster worked as a plant operator for more than 45 years, and enjoyed going to work every day. He was a loving and devoted husband for more than 61 years. He enjoyed being a dad, a “Pa”, a grand pa, and a friend. Buster enjoyed watching football and basketball, and reading his Bible until his sight prevented him from it. He thanked the Lord for everyday he was given, and said he had more peace now, than he ever had. He was the greatest Dad ever, never let us down and was always there for us. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: wife, Norah; granddaughter, Kathy; grandson Tony; daughter-in-law Debbie; parents, Charlie and Vida and sister, Lorene.
