Robert “Bob” Seymour Leveridge age 79 of Wayne passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at the Norman Specialty Hospital. He was born on July 31, 1935 on his family farm south of Wayne. He was the youngest of four children born to Ruel Walton Leveridge and Gladys Marion (Grimes) Leveridge. Bob grew up a farm boy living in Wayne. He attended Wayne schools, where he played sports, graduating in 1953. Bob married a Rosedale girl, Miss Louise Hursh on September 11, 1954. Together they raised 4 children. They made their home in Oklahoma City from 1954-1973 before moving back home to the family farm in near Wayne. Bob worked most all of his life for various Trucking Companies as a dispatcher. He also spent time raising cattle on the family farm. When not working, Bob greatly enjoyed following his grandchildren in the various activities and sporting events. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, brother, uncle and a good friend. Bob was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Wayne. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: His son, Robert S. Leveridge, II; His parents, Ruel and Gladys Leveridge and 2 brothers, Floyd and Wayne Leveridge.
Bob leaves behind: His son, Ron Leveridge and wife Brandi of Blanchard; 2 daughters, Deborah Stewart and husband Troy of Edmond and Patti Minassian and husband Hrach of Omaha, NB; Daughter-in-law, Anita Leveridge of Cashion; Sister, Norma Smith of Wayne; Sister-In-law, Helen Leveridge of Wayne; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and A host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
