Richard Edward Kirk, age 82 of Tuttle, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020. Richard was born April 23, 1938 in Harrah, OK to Roy and Cora Kirk. He was raised in Harrah where he began school, but by age 10, Richard found himself in a boys home in Oklahoma City. He graduated from NE High School (OKC) in 1956 and then attended Central State University where he studied Engineering. Richard was a master cabinet builder, and also owned and operated his own construction companies, K&K Construction and Richard E. Kirk Cabinet and Trim Co. for more than 20 years. He then worked for the FAA as a cabinet shop lead man and sheet metal machine shop until his retirement. During his time at the FAA, he met a young lady named Sandy (Skelly) Phillips. They quickly became friends, and as the years went by, they became even more. On August 31, 2001, Richard and Sandra were married in Oklahoma City, and they made their home in Tuttle. When he wasn’t working, Richard spent countless hours in his shop perfecting his craft, and he built the most beautiful furniture. Richard was a quiet man and an overcomer; He was kind and caring and always willing to help, and he shared his many talents with his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: his son, Brian Phillips; his parents, Roy and Cora Kirk; his siblings Paul, Modina, Leroy, Ralph, Pauline and Roy.
