Mary Lou Howell, known to all as “Granny”, age 84 of Purcell, passed away November 22, 2020. She was the 6th out of 8 children born to Thomas and Lois Bebout. She graduated from Wayne High School with the Bulldog Class of 1955. Granny was born and raised and lived the majority of her life in Purcell, except for a small period of time between 1960-1977, where she lived in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Granny loved nothing more than a good garage sale. She knew everything there was to know about antiques and she never met a stranger. She was a bit ornery but made the very best mom and friend. Granny loved getting together for Sunday dinners with her family. She had a love for all things Elvis or Blake Shelton and she was a viscous domino player. Her grandkids and great grands were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Don Howell: her parents, Thomas and Lois Bebout; her brothers, Tom Bebout Jr., Bud Bebout and Jimmy Bebout and her sisters; Sis Mayo and Sue Wilhite.
Granny is survived by: her sons, Terry Howell and wife Kerri of Purcell; Randy Howell and wife Christy of Purcell; her brother Dub Bebout and wife Karlyn of Purcell; her sister Tiny Wilson of Purcell; her grandchildren: Tara Turner and husband Kevin of Norman, Justin Howell and wife Ashley of Purcell, Christyn Daniel and husband Shane of Purcell and Christian Howell of Purcell; great grandchildren, Emerson and Holden Turner and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Hillside Cemetery. Send online condolences @ www. wilsonlittle.com
