Sherry D’Lynn Dunn was born October 8, 1959 in Purcell, Oklahoma, the 2nd of 5 children born to James and Lora Mae (McGee) Dunn. She was raised in Wayne and attended school there, graduating with the Bulldog Class of 1977. She then attended USAO in Chickasha, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Medical Technology. Sherry learned the value of hard work at a very young age working cattle and raising calves.
She married young and was the proud mother of daughter Rachel and son Jacob.
Sherry worked for Norman Regional Hospital for many years, and most recently for Oklahoma Heart Hospital South in Oklahoma City.
Away from work, she enjoyed quilting and swapping quilts. She was crafty and loved painting, cake decorating and tending to her garden. She traveled whenever she could and more recently developed a love of theater. Sherry had a heart for people and a true servant’s heart. She was active in 4-H, and quilted for the Infant Crisis Center and the Down Syndrome Association of Oklahoma. She cherished her family, especially her children, and looked forward to daily conversations with her mom. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by her sister Jan Dunn and her father James Dunn.
