Philip “Doc” Halladay, age 65 of Tecumseh, passed away, Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at his home.
He was born January 23, 1952 in Fort Ord, California. Philip received the nickname “Doc” while attending school as a child. Philip attended many schools because his dad was in the Army. He dropped out of school in the 10th grade, but went back and received his GED. In 1970 Doc joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1972. After being discharged from the Navy, he worked as a deckhand on tugboats, and also as a gardener, and numerous restaurants including two of his own. There was also a time that he was riding bulls in Rodeos. Just this past year, he rode some bulls, just to say he did it again at the age of 65.
He was preceded in death by: His parents, Theodore and Mary Halladay;
Doc is survived by: His wife, Annita Harris Halladay; Five children, from two previous marriages, Daughter, Cassandra Halladay of Oklahoma; Sons, Josh Halladay of Kansas, Chris Halladay of Oklahoma, Joseph Halladay of Oklahoma and Chad Halladay of Oklahoma; One step-son, Raymond Williams and wife Raven of Lexington, Oklahoma; Brothers, Duffy Halladay of Alaska and Ted Halladay and wife Chris of Tulsa; His son Chris’ children, Step grandchildren, Austin and MaKayla Williams, One niece, Mary Murphy and husband Larry of Miami, Oklahoma; One nephew, Jeremy Halladay of Miami, Oklahoma; Two great nieces, Makayla and Mackenzie of Miami, Oklahoma; One great nephew, Braden Murphy of Miami, Oklahoma; Brother-in-law, Kenneth Harris of Wayne, Oklahoma; As well as many good friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell, OK.
Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
