Capt. Esau Green was Jail administrator for McClain Co.
He lost control of his vehicle on his way to work about 4:35 am one mile south of Lexington. Per the sheriff, Dwayne Anderson, it looks like he dodged something, possibly a deer or a dog, before striking a utility pole on a county road.
He grew up in the Lexington area, served in the Army and then moved to California , working as a security expert for the U S Navy on the west coast for 36 years. After moving back to Oklahoma, he lived in Corbett and had served as jail administrator for two years.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta and six children.
