Velda B. Graham died December 30, 2015 in Purcell at the age of 91 years 10 months 19 days.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday,
January 4, 2016 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Hillside
Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Velda was born February 11, 1924 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to George W. and
Susie (Goins) Wallace. She started her schooling at the Chilocco Indian School
in Ponca City, then moved to Oklahoma City to live with her sister, Ella Ruth
Hall, graduating around 1942. Velda married Donald Graham in Fort Smith,
Arkansas in 1952. They were married for 63 years. Velda loved painting, fishing,
camping, traveling and making jewelry.
Velda is preceded in death by her parents, George and Susie Wallace; siblings,
Lala Wilkerson, Ella Ruth Hall, Kenneth Wallace, L.V. Wallace, George Wallace,
Tracy Wallace and Tommy Wallace.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of
Purcell; daughter, Jo Ann Larrabee ofPurcell; grandson, Robert Larrabee of
Norman; siblings, Wanda Farrow, Shirley Stone, Clarence Wallace, all three of
Purcell, Bob Wallace of Vista, California, and numerous nieces, nephews and
other relatives and friends.
