Leeta Mae Glasco, age 94, of Wayne passed away on December 8, 2023.
Leeta Mae Glasco was born on May 26, 1929 to William Orville Dunn and Josie Lee Dunn in Wayne. She grew up in the Stealey community and started school there. She attended Wayne high school and graduated with the Bull Dog class of 1947.
Later that year, on December 27th, she married the love of her life Floris Glasco. They moved to Midwest City in 1952.
Leeta worked for C.I.T. Financial Services for more than 21 years. By 1974 she retired and moved back home to Wayne.
She and Floris enjoyed the day-to-day life on the ranch before retiring for good in 1991. Leeta had a love for the outdoors and took great pride in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a woman of great faith, and long-time member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Floris Glasco and her parents William and Josie Dunn.
Leeta is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Sunset Estates and Loving Care Hospice for the care they provided. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 13th 2023 at Little’s Chapel, burial will follow at Hillside cemetery in Purcell.
