Winona “Winnie” Jean Farrow age 93 of Oklahoma City, passed away Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Sterling House retirement center.
She was born May 6, 1920 in Criner, Oklahoma. She was the 2nd child of seven children born to Otto Napoleon Keeler and Eula Mae (Bassett) Keeler. Winnie grew up in the Dibble area and attended the Dibble Schools. She married the love of her life Creed Farrow, a young man from the Wayne and Payne community. They were married on February 11, 1940 in Payne. Winnie and Creed moved to California in February of 1947 and lived in the Sacramento area for many years. Together they raised three children, Linda, Benny and Gary. While Creed worked as a brick mason, Winnie worked as a bookkeeper in a food cannery. While living in California, Winnie attended the 14th Ave. Baptist Church in Sacramento. In May of 2002 Winnie and Creed moved back to Oklahoma to the area they once called home. Winnie was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Throughout her life, she enjoyed flowers, crocheting, making ceramics, fishing, camping, traveling with Creed and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by: Parents: Otto and Eula Mae Keeler, Husband: Creed Farrow on May 10, 2011, 3 brothers: Rolston, Marvin and Robert Keeler, 2 sisters: Helen Stephens and Louise Webster,
She is survived by: Daughter: Linda Arnall of Quincy, WA, 2 sons: Benny Farrow and wife Nancy of Moore, OK, Gary Farrow of Benson, AZ, 1 sister: Carolyn Vaughn and husband Jackie of Washington, OK, Sister-in-law: Elsie Keeler of Norman, Brother-in-law: Joe Webster of Purcell, 4 grandchildren: Dawn Jarrard of Chico, CA, Lora Sanders of Paris, TX, Darin Arnall of Quincy, WA, Melissa Baker of OKC, 8 great grandchildren: Logan Sanders, Alex and Erica Pool, Kyle, Jacob, Jenna, Joel and Jace Arnall, 2 great great grandchildren: Connor and Weston Arnall, And many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
